Too hot. We go to North Carolina these days, but I don't get to go to the beach for two months at a time any more. :(

I go to the Panhandle in the early spring, late fall and winter. Too hot, too crowded and too expensive in the summer. .

If you can get me there in an hour and a half by car I'll be glad to go.

It is a 4 hour drive for me. One day I will buy a house a few miles from the beach in AL or FL. AL property taxes are dirt cheap compared to FL though. They have a bunch of midwestern snow birds that own condos there rather than northeastern yankees which is a big plus.
