Um, I don't know about Michigan but no pension is guaranteed in NJ. Especially considering that the government has been raiding the pension system for years without paying back a dime. We luck out here in NM. I have Public Employee Retirement. All local and state employees pay into it, and the state cannot touch the money. PERA is good for the next half century.
