-A Florida man is under investigation for repeatedly returning boxes of used enemas to a CVS pharmacy where workers re-shelved the items, cops report. The unidentified suspect, who has not yet been charged in a product tampering probe being led by the federal Food and Drug Administration, was arrested earlier this month on an unrelated outstanding warrant. He is currently locked up.
The repulsive probe began earlier this month when a worker told Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office deputies that the suspect, on four occasions, had purchased ready-to-use saline enemas only to later return the items. ...

FYI- Read the ingredients on those labels and then don't use those products. Buy them for the bottle, and replace the contents of the bottle with warm water and olive oil. They don't sell real enema bags anymore.

One of the brands is so heavy in phosphate that there is a health warning on the box. I have no idea why there is phosphate in an enema as it serves no useful purpose that I know of. The purpose of an enema is immediate relief from constipation and to prevent impaction and olive oil and warm water will do the trick.

Technically, the phosphate is added as an intestinal irritant which will prompt the body to expel is quicker.

Still, taking used enemas back to a store is a pretty shitty thing to do.
