Aggie Soldier Remembered, Surrounded By Maroon Wall
Since this is not a breaking story, I put it here.
Texas A&M students formed a wall around a funeral for Army Lieutenant Colonel Roy Lin Tisdale. The point of the wall was to shield the family and friends of Tinsdale from the Westboro Baptist Church who showed up to protest the funeral.
“We are standing here quietly. We are here for the family,” said Lilly McAlister, a Texas A&M student. "We are positioned with our backs to them. Everyone has been told there's no chanting, no singing, there's no yelling anything back.”
It’s solidarity that these supporters feel Tisdale and his family deserves during this tragic time.
"You don't bury your children, the children bury their parents, but you don't bury your children,” said Linda Tisdale, the soldier’s mother.
Fred Phelps and his crew are the demons among us, spewing hate wherever they go--universally despised by the right and the left.
