I'm happy as a clam now as the National League is leading 5-0. All the runs were scored in the 1st inning. Tony LaRussa came out of retirement to coach the Nats and Joe Buck (son of the Cards' great announcer Jack Buck) and Tim McCarver, former Cards catcher from many years ago and current Cards announcer, are broadcasting the game.

Hope the Nats continue to lead.

We are. Local boy Mike Trout had a hit and a stolen base. Not bad for the kid.

It was a good game---if you were rooting for the National League. I feel happy for Tony LaRussa. He's a good guy. It's nice to go out with an 8-0 shutout.

I've attended the Royals in Kaufman, and the Chiefs in Arrowhead on many occassions. Both are beautiful stadiums.

I'm an old school baseball fan and it pains me to see the Royals struggle over the years. I grew up with those great teams from the mid 70's to their World Championship in 1985. Apropos that the Phils and Royals faced each other in 1980 considering both franchises at the time were always in their respective LCS's but could never win. But sadly they can't seem to get back to where they were once was.
