One does not greet death when he knocks at your door.

Nay you repeatedly punch him in the throat as he slowly drags you away.

The Camera is very good - anything else is just a phone. Damn "Data plan required"

Yes, I got mine yesterday - because of the camera. My first 'smart phone' and hopefully my last. Compute on it? Cost me more in data plan than the computer w/ISP service does and I buy the business versions.

The first 31 pages of the 43 pg 'owners manual' is "safety information": do this and don't do that.

I may end up using that 30 day refund offer.
It's not how old you are, it's how you got here.
It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.

meh there is always a "bitcher" about anything I guess.

I have sprint. My Data is unlimted as is everything else. 70.00 a month plus tax.

But sounds like you are fickle and if this one isnt your bag then nothing is really.

My 'fickleness' is I demand the best camera as one of my life's passions is outdoor photography. I was looking at the HTC X 1 until the S III came out. All the rest is confetti.

    Then get an actual camera....duh....

That would be like me bitching about a tablet not being a laptop.

    dumb.

I've got the camera, had it for years --- but this one fits in my shirt pocket without sagging, falling out or snagging.

Your bitchin is meaningless under the circumstances. It's a phone.

I love my Galaxy SII . You are talking about a phone, right? I can't keep the Samsung phones and tablets straight.

I agree, it ALMOST replaces my computer, except for:

It's a bit of a pain in negotiating Facebook (no great loss) and bulletin boards.

Either it doesn't do multiple windows well, or I haven't learned how to do it.

It's considerably more work for any serious typing.

It will only print directly to a Samsung printer and WTF has a Samsung printer?

Other than that, it's fabulous. Make sure you introduce it to all the local free hotspots so it will automatically connect when you are at McDonalds, the health food store, the cafe, the coffee place , and anywhere else they have free wifi.

The Gs3 has fixed the facebook issues and the latest version of touchwiz over 4.0.4 is amazing!

Apparently the Samsung printer thing has been fixed as well. My niece reports that she can print to an HP printer with her Samsung Exhibit.

I'm a Mac user and honestly have no use for other technology of that type, but I don't see the sacrifice I'm making by having a Galaxy rather than an iPhone. My sister and nephews have iPhone and they seem small and chunky compared to my Galaxy, not to mention coming up short in areas that Apple has always excelled in (like video). Moreover, my Galaxy has twice the memory of the IpHone if I am not mistaken. I will say that the iPhone touch response time is faster (irrelevant since we're talking nanoseconds) and smoother (almost imperceptibly so).

Waste of money the S3 is. I too have sprint and went with the Motorola Photon

If you compare it to the galaxy or iphone, the photon wins hands down.
