A bomb threat closed a Chick-fil-A franchise in West Virginia for several hours on Wednesday as supporters across the country participated in an organized “appreciation day” of the fast-food chain.

The Journal-News reported that a Chick-fil-A in Martinsburg was closed for about three hours after a bomb threat was called in around lunchtime. According to the report, the caller said a “device” had been put inside the restaurant.

Police allowed customers back inside after no bomb was found inside the restaurant.
Must've been one of those crazy teabaggers!

“We prosecute to the fullest extent that the law allows for anyone making these types of threats,” Martinsburg City Police said in a news release.

What is the fullest extent of the law for placing a device in a restaurant and then calling them and telling them about it?

    Definition of DEVICE

    1
: something devised or contrived: as
    a (1) : plan, procedure, technique (2) : a scheme to deceive : stratagem, trick
b : something fanciful, elaborate, or intricate in design
c : something (as a figure of speech) in a literary work designed to achieve a particular artistic effect
    d archaic : masque, spectacle
e : a conventional stage practice or means (as a stage whisper) used to achieve a particular dramatic effect
f : a piece of equipment or a mechanism designed to serve a special purpose or perform a special function <an electronic device>

My guess is that the caller amused himself with the notion that the "device" was the idea (see definition one) of calling and simply saying that there is a device in the WTT (white trash temple). Or perhaps he left a pair of pliers or a wind up toy in the WTT.

Still, it was a mean thing to do. Bad hillbilly!

Aren't you a liberal? The keepers of the tolerance gene? Why so many intolerant posts today?

Because liberals are also the keepers of the "refuse-to-see-their-own-hypocrisy" gene.

You're right about the first one but not the second. Jesus hung out with 'different folk'. He didn't let them bring Him down though, He tried to bring them up. Go and sin no more. Getting forgiveness works best when you disavow yourself from the sin and try to do better.

It's always sad and tragic when a liberal tries to cite the Bible. 9 billion 999 million 999 thousand and 999 times out of 10 billion times, they get it completely wrong. This is no exception.

Wow, but you're on a tear today. First, given the nature of the controversy, it's unlikely that the caller was a "hillbilly" or any other less than subtle epithet for an opponent of gay marriage. It's far more likely that it was a gay marriage supporter who called it in. Also, the "White Trash Temple" is an amusing comment, in that it presumes a certain elistis disdain for people whose ancestors came over in steamships, rather than leaky wooden tubs. Steerage is still steerage, no matter what century, and your ancestor's accomplishments don't tell us anything about you, personally, but your incessant riding of their coattails does.
