I must admit. I love to go shopping in Vegas. I often find good deals on things I really don't need.
I took my mother to lunch at the Bellagio before I had to start my fast prior to surgery. It was the best $50 I spent. The place is amazing inside. I even won a few bucks in the well ventilated casino. A few hundred.

Linda is way to classy for this board.
I love Vegas and all it's tackiness. A long weekend is enough though...I start hearing bells and whistles in my sleep after that.
I've stayed at Harrah's.(tacky), Ceasar's (tacky, but not too bad) and at Treasure Island my last trip, which is not tacky at all, and the rooms are very modern and nice.
It's a nice getaway and I like playing at the poker tournies. Slot machines, not so much.

There was even a motion picture in 2008 with that title.
The business community learned that ended up not being the best image for the city. They quit using it a couple years ago..
Remember when President Obama's comments resulted in the cancelation of hundreds of national conventions which were actually the best bargain at the time for the corporations? In one week there were 80,000 room reservations cancelled in Las Vegas. Right in Harry Reid's back yard. Of course the President vacations in Las Vegas often.....opps, I mean he campaigns.
State Farm ended up having their convention in CA at almost twice the price just not to shake up the public eye!

NJCard...I can't see any reason to try and support the state with the highest unemployment in the United States when you can travel the world and see the "real deal." God knows, they are really broke over there....
