The conservative base is on fire after Mitt Romney’s announcement of Paul Ryan as his running mate.

Andrea Saul, advisor to Romney, tweeted this morning that the Romney campaign raised $3.5 million online in the 24 hours after the announcement.

This is the most powerful crystallizing moment the Romney campaign has had since the Supreme Court’s ObamaCare decision; Romney raised $4.2 million within 24 hours of that decision.

The palpable excitement over Ryan’s selection contrasts sharply with Barack Obama’s announcement of Joe Biden 2008. In August of 2008, when Obama picked Biden, contributions to the Obama campaign actually decreased from the previous month.
This is great news. Unfortunately, the announcement came from Andrea Saul. Too bad she didn't get fired.

    I love it.

The more Romney out raises obama, the better his chances are of winning.

That lead me to a question: What are the statistics of wins compared to raising?
