    Dear Leader rambles on...

(CNN) -- North Korean leader Kim Jong Un told his troops to be vigilant during upcoming training exercises between South Korea and the United States, saying they should be ready to lead a "sacred war," state media reported Saturday.

Kim's comments came during a visit on Mu Island with troops who participated in the 2010 shelling of South Korea's Yeonpyeong Island, an attack that North Korea at the time said South Korea provoked by holding war games off their shared coast.

"He ordered the service persons of the detachment to be vigilant against every move of the enemy and not to miss their gold chance to deal at once deadly counter blows at the enemy, if even a single shell is dropped on the waters or in the area where the sovereignty of (North Korea) is exercised," the state-run KCNA news agency reported.

The warning followed an announcement by the United States and South Korea that their joint "Ulchi Freedom Guardian" training exercises would begin Monday and conclude by August 31.
May the FORCE be with you!

How can you have a sacred war when you are an atheist?
The difference between pigs and people is that when they tell you you're cured it isn't a good thing.

Considering that South Korea is a lot richer than us these days, is there some reason we still give them foreign aid? Is there some reason we still need to be defending them against the deadly wings of North Korea MiG-21s? Just asking. You know, with our economy in the crapper and all...

    Ziiing.......POW! Right through the heart!

    So I looked it up:
10,000 Protestants; 10,000 Buddhists; 4,000 Catholics; Chondoist Chongo Party about 40,000.

From what I understand, Chongoists are sort of like Christians. Maybe. Anyway, you're right; it's gonna be tough waging a sacred war with that crew. Especially the Buddhists, since their philosophy does not address a deity.

I was looking for a real answer. Seems like everyone thinks it's obvious/self-evident we need to be out there defending South Korea from North Korea... Taiwan from China... Japan from someone... Eastern Europe from Russia... Turkey from the pesky terrorist Kurds... etc, etc. Maybe I'm just dumb and not seeing the obvious reason we should be subsidizing the defence of sovereign nations who apparently don't like us very much during the time of a massive economic recession.
