FACT: A Republican Congressman and candidate for the Senate, Todd Akin, made an outrageous, offensive, and idiotic comment about rape. Because of the painful but very real double standard that nails Republicans for such transgressions while allowing Democrats to literally get away with murder, pressure is on Akin (especially from Republicans) to get out of the race. Also predictably, the Left is running wild with a newly energetic (but still bogus) "war on women" drumbeat.
FACT: Thanks to Obama's socialist redistributionism and crushing big government, we've had 42 consecutive months of 8 percent plus unemployment, the longest stretch of such high unemployment since the Great Depression.
FACT: Obama has led an unprecedented spending blowout, giving us $1 trillion plus deficits for a record four years in a row.
FACT: Thanks to the Obama spending blowout, our national debt is scheduled to slam into $16 TRILLION by the end of the week.
FACT: Our debt was downgraded for the first time ever.
FACT: Economic growth is anemic to non-existent.
FACT: Senate Democrats have not produced a budget in over 1200 days. Obama's budgets have been so outrageously over-the-top unaffordable that they've gotten ZERO votes in Congress. That would be ZERO votes.
FACT: The number of people on food stamps and other social welfare programs is at record highs.
FACT: The president is a socialist who INTENDS all of these policies and their consequences (see my new book: "WHAT THE (BLEEP) JUST HAPPENED?")
FACT: While we're consumed with what a candidate said about rape, we're not talking about the FACTS above.
FACT: That's precisely what Obama, his campaign, and his party want.
FACT: We must not give it to them.
There has been a lot of moaning and gnashing of teeth over “GOP cannibalism” and “throwing one of our own under the bus” and the leftist and media double standards. All are legitimate issues to debate -- at another time. With the November election just about two and half months away, we don’t have time to indulge these conversations now.
This election is too important for us to waste time wandering off in the weeds trying to defend some candidate on an issue no one was discussing before he stupidly began blabbing. Akin says he won’t drop out of the race, which is another example of his stupidity and more importantly, of his selfishness. We need to win the White House and the Senate and hold the House. This election is -- and must be -- bigger than any one man and his personal ambitions. That’s why the national GOP, Super PACs, and other groups are cutting off his funding. You want to chase your Senate dreams, Mr. Akin? Might be tough with no money.
We’re fighting for the life of the country here. There must be only one mantra: WIN. If you can't or won’t help us do what’s necessary to save the nation, then get out. We need focused warriors who will fight the war -- on OUR terms -- and WIN.
