Unfortunately, CW is unable to start the thread today. Needless to say, we won't have a super intellectual TOTD.:p It's hot and muggy here but I think it might be starting to get a little better.
TOTD: How ready are you for Christmas? Y'all know that I'm a tad neurotic when it comes to Christmas shopping. I'm done shopping for everybody except Tristan. I always have to wait for him because he changes his mind so much.Loyalty Binds Me- Motto of Richard III

Christmas? Have we already had Easter?
If I as much as think about Christmas before Thanksgiving I will completely burn out on it.
I do almost all of my shopping online in December. My Mom gives charitable donations, my kids take trips, we are leaving the "shopping at the mall" idea behind in the 1900's.

Are you kidding me? I'm with LL. Last year I gave all the kids an "event" for Christmas (hockey game, ballet, etc.). Of course, then I thought that they all needed something as well, and I burned through just about every shop in town the weekend before. I managed though, to only make one "mall" shop for Christmas last year. It was a much more pleasant experience shopping in town.
I don't know what I'll do this year. I keep wanting to just give them savings bonds or some other form of investment instead of a "present", as I know they will get tons of stuff from their other family.
Maybe this year I'll plan a trip and take them all. Who knows.
As for now, I'm still fighting with my drapes.

It's nice here today, we'll be going to the St. Louis Zoo in a while.
We both have caught a cold so it should be soooo fun! :D
Christmas...we did see that Costo had Christmas stuff for sale when we went
there yesterday. Good Gawd are they coming out with cheesey looking
trees now! They had this one with big white bulbs on it that played music
and changed colors. Oh, and it had a remote control.
I haven't bought a single gift yet. SLW...that's another story. I think she's
done for the next 3.May the FORCE be with you!

Nice weather in the UK this weekend.
Amazingly enough, I have already got some Christmas stuff, purchased in the wonderful Stad Brugge last week:
The seal on the first has prevented me "sampling" them. No such seal on the second, but fortunately I can get Tripel Karmelite at the supermarket.

TOTD: I've got some ideas on Christmas. Not much, just a couple gift ideas.
One of my favorite bands, Barlow Girl, is going to be releasing a Christmas album very soon, I'm going to get it in a few weeks.

Perfect ' Chamber of Commerce' day: 75, no wind, sun burnt off the marine layer at 10:00. Other than there being no waves - not bad. Many beers will die in my garage today. The horror.
TOTD: The kids always do Christmas and I have the easiest job of the season: Checkbook detail. I always get to just set back and not get sucked into the 'Tornado of Manufactured Drama.'
Logan Man loves playing with the empty boxes. ;)At Coretta Scott King's funeral in early 2006, Ethel Kennedy, the widow of Robert Kennedy, leaned over to him and whispered, "The torch is being passed to you." "A chill went up my spine," Obama told an aide. (Newsweek)
