The Weather Channel is doing something it has never done before.
Starting at 4 p.m. Eastern on Friday, meteorologist Mike Seidel will report live from Cuba to cover the effects of Isaac -- the first time a Weather Channel meteorologist has ever set foot on the island to cover a weather event. Isaac is expected to hit the eastern coast of the island first, but before long, Seidel's location in the capital of Havana will see plenty of wind and rain from the storm.
This makes Seidel the only international reporter on Cuban soil for the coverage of Isaac.
Friday afternoon, Seidel signed on from Havana and began painting a picture of the foreign island and how the residents are preparing for the storm.
