Is this some veiled attempt at "bash the NW thread"?
I'll play...if I want to feel like I've completely given up on life and need someplace to go and blow my brains out without having to reconsider that course of action, I will move to the NW.
Some states pride themselves with their beer consumption per capita, I have to wonder how many psych drugs per capita in the northwest.
Not going to "bash" the NW either ...
But, being a resident of the mountains of North Georgia ...
Even 'though I took the circuitous route via Guilford, England ~ Toronto, Canada ~ Los Angeles, Cinci ~ Houston ~ Dallas ~ SW Florida ~ and Murphy, NC. ... to finally get here ...
I'll stick to my "Bible & Guns" and enjoy living here in the south, thanks!
No insult intended for those in here that do live there. In fact, sympathy is being sent your way. ...![]()

I used to live near Seattle. The other side of the bridge. Lived in Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond and Duvall at one time or another over many years. Worked at Providence Hospital several years. Oh, and I was in Tacoma for a little while. I was there (in Kirkland) when Mt St Helens blew her top. Luv all that part of the country from N Cal to BC.![]()
As for the Pacific Coast, I'd love to visit one day...I hear that have good coffee? And some famous fish throwing market.![]()
Hi Hawkgirl ...
We live in Towns County overlooking Lake Chatuge. Approx. 20 miles south of the western NC border.
Fav adult beverage is a glass of Merlot.
Then again, on special occasions, am not immune to Fuzzy Navel's with some vodka in them ... Margaritas ... [actually "Naked Ladies" as a bartender in San Antonio once called Margaritas without salt!] ... and my fav most fattening drink I love to serve to friends at Christmas time ... Pina Coladas! Yummy!!!
Also, am not immune to Coors Light outside in the heat of the summer. When we lived in Florida, used to order a Corona with a lime in it. Refreshing to say the least!
Well, that should about cover it, don'tcha think? ...

I spent three years cold and wet in Seattle, Bremerton.
Chartered a trawler out of Anacortes afew years back, and went to Victoria, Friday Harbor, Bellingham, etc.
This guy lives up there, but I don't think he's a member of CU. Just an interesting guy.
