It is one thing to disagree with a President, to think he's a moron etc, but to pray for his death is something really disrespectful to the office....Even if I hate a President's policies, the President is still my President from the day they're inaugurated until the day they exit the office.
He has the right to pray for anything he wants, if he truly believes in what he is doing he should be honest because being a liar doesn't work well with God or anyone else, their can be no doubt what the text refers too. I think they would have a hard time making a case that what he did was illegal but if I were part of the secret service I would certainly keep an eye on him.
How is obama working out for you?

Of course he has the right. I just think he's foolish or immoral for doing it.

Posting a prayer and then lying about it is sort of self defeating.
