Elizabeth asked Bill Clinton on the View about sexism in the election:
Clinton explained that in the past 50 years we have become more sensitive about racial issues but that our perceptions about the role of women and men is something we are not as sensitive about and that it is largely subconscious.
(I brought up the VERY same point on DU when it was clear that using the N-word was verboten but using degrading terms for women, including the c-word, was ok.)
He also said that no one should be told they don't know what they're doing because they vote a particular way.
