Aside from Matthews' obvious power festishism, there's a more important aspect to his comment. Is anyone allowed to stand for office against Obama, or is the simple decision to present an alternative illegitimate? This is the kind of thought process that animates one-party dictatorships. Matthews would have been right at home at Pravda.

I wonder if "Brainiac" Chrissy thought to consider just who is more arrogant in seeking the Presidency of the USA?
