Go back and read her post and your reply. You attributed his racism and homophobia as principles that would make a person think they were a good Christian. Therefore all Christians, if they want to be good, should be racist and homophobic. Now, you can deflect and snark a reply to that statement but in the end what you said was incredibly stupid.
I won't even touch on the fact that the man was an admitted atheist and in addition to saying something stupid you compounded it by looking ridiculous.
