The number of gay and bisexual characters on scripted broadcast network TV is at its highest-ever level in the season ahead, according to the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.

Compared with last year, African-American representation has grown from 9.9 percent to 12 percent, while Hispanic representation has decreased from 5.6 percent to 4.1 percent.

You could have fooled me, but then maybe they simply group the black sitcoms and it just looks like TV is about 50% black.

I wonder if they count cartoon characters as well?

Perhaps the most ridiculous thing about this is that Glee has straight male characters.
