VANCOUVER — A human leg and foot found floating in False Creek Friday afternoon is likley the genetic match of a left foot found in the same body of water in August 2011.
Foul play is not suspected and, as with the other nine cases of floating feet found in B.C. waters in recent years, it’s believed that suicide is the likely cause of death.
In these cases, experts say that feet become disconnected from bodies but do not decompose or sink like the other remains, because shoes form a protective and buoyant casing.
