#1 Felix Baumgartner 128,000 Foot Freefall (Full jump - 10 minutes)
10-15-2012, 12:40 AM
I was watching this live and I ain't too sure about that altitude for takeoff. He did get up there but when the air pressure equaled out he was bobbing around and shifting several hundred feet a minute. They were showing the altitude on the screen but I believe it was below 128000 when they turned it off. So.... All the records still stand but as for the actual number at the time he fell off the platform??????
NO, I do not want to try it.It's not how old you are, it's how you got here.
It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.

As I have said before, I would starve to death standing on that platform because there ain't no way in hell I would jump. Ever.

They were interviewing him on the news this morning. I respect his achievement, but I still think he's crazy for doing it.
I am brave about a lot of things-unarmed muggers, trannie hookers, junkies and drunks I've found on the side of the road, roller coasters- I even rapelled down a mountain once. But I will never skydive, that is just a little too much for me.

I can barely stand climbing a ladder to reach the gutters on our one-story house.
