Flamin' Hot Cheetos are a wildly popular snack that literally leaves its indulgers red-handed.

And now several schools in California, New Mexico and Illinois have banned the high-fat, high-salt and possibly addictive treat.

Some schools in Pasadena, Calif. have even said that if a parent packs the snack in their child's lunch, the spicy Cheetos will still be confiscated, KTLA reports.

The main reason cited by these schools for the ban is a lack of nutritional value. One snack-size bag contains 26 grams of fat and a quarter of the amount of sodium recommended for an entire day.

And new research suggests that "hyperpalatable foods"--salty, fatty or sweet foods--can trigger brain responses similar to those created seen in individuals addicted to drugs or alcohol, the Chicago Tribune reports.

I work with a teen who must daily eat her share of Flaming Hot Cheetos, Snickers bars, and Ramen Noodles, washed down with lots of Faygo Red Pop.

One does not greet death when he knocks at your door.

Nay you repeatedly punch him in the throat as he slowly drags you away.

This state is literally the biggest fucking nanny state out there. You can't go swimming without parental supervision until your 17. If you want to go hunt, you've got to go to a designated blind that the DNR tells you to. Now your not allowed to eat cheetos on school property.

Fuck this state. I cannot wait to get out of here.
In most sports, cold-cocking an opposing player repeatedly in the face with a series of gigantic Slovakian uppercuts would get you a multi-game suspension without pay.

In hockey, it means you have to sit in the penalty box for five minutes.

This is what happens when Democrats get elected.
The Obama Administration: Deny. Deflect. Blame.

What state are you speaking of and what's the actual law? I ask because I am surprised that FLorida hasn't had a push for this sort of thing.

I grew up around water. River water, pools, ponds and lakes, and the ocean. We were not allowed to go to the pool by ourselves until age 12. Most pools do not permit unaccompanied children under 12. I wasn't really allowed to go in the ocean with no adult supervising until I was 16. It wasn't so much "No you can't." as it simply didn't happen because until then if I was on the beach then someone had to drive me there and that person was in charge.

We may have been extra careful around water, but we're all alive. Every year here in St Pete, kids drown in the bay. Usually they are unsupervised kids 8-14 who can't swim who were allowed to hang out at the beach without an adult accompanying them.
