I have been streaming this ALL DAY (friends in New Jersey) and I saw Chris Christie. He was pissed off that Mayor Langford encouraged people to stay in Atlantic City shelters. I don't know if you have seen recent pix of AC but the streets are flooded out, the surf is wild, and emergency rescues have been suspended throughout ALL of Atlantic County because the rescue personnel wouldn't be safe. There is no way to go in and get these people.

Christie NEVER said, "FU you're on your own." He gave a logistical truth: "There's no way to go in and get you."

He was right to be pissed off at the Atlantic City Mayor--why encourage people to stay in a dangerous situation? They should have evacuated an hour inland and gone to a shelter there.

STUPID DUmmies don't know what the fuck is going on so they blame Christie and tell fat jokes. Real mature DUmmies.

Edited to add: Over 108K people in South Jersey without power. Staying there was insane.

I wonder if that dumbshit mayor is still there in Atlantic City. Somehow I suspect that he's left. It sounds like he studied under the Nagin school of storm preparedness in New Orleans during Katrina. The dems will of course spin it that it's all Christie's fault.

As for the dumb Mayor, it's a piss poor neighborhood right outside of the boardwalk. This is a way to get more government money for those po' people, like Nagin did for Nawlins.
