Cops respond 9 hours after clerk attacked, say 'hire security'

Even the old-timers in Detroit never have seen anything like this: A mob of 40 black people moved into a convenience store and will not leave.

They say they now own it. They eat. Smoke. Cuss.Threaten. Spit. Rob. Sell drugs. All on video.

Police, ministers, neighbors, the store owner and just about everyone else seems powerless to stop them.

“It’s a Bad Crew gas station,” said one of the mob to the local Fox affiliate. “If you don’t know what that is, I can’t even tell you.”

The owner calls police, but nothing happens. The police “come here and then they leave. Two minutes later they (the mob) are back.”

I love Detroit.

Kinda like that cousin you don't want to touch with a 10ft pole, but you still love cause he's your cousin.

Guess the cops are doing what my family in Toronto, Canada tells me that they are doing in the suburb of Scarborough, Ontario these days ...

Is really sad for the folks that really need the help, but the cops, depending on the neighborhood to which they are called ... know that in most cases, they themselves, will be outnumbered and met with gun fire!

2 cops called for 40 squatters, yeah it's probably going to take quite a few to go through there to clean it out.

The place won't be worth anything after all those squatters have been occupying it. It would take a railroad tanker car of disinfectant to clean that place.

It's why guns are necessary, for self-protection. The cops here don't do much either. We complained about some homeless guys camping out in a sort of hobo camp outside the walls of our development. The cops wouldn't bother with doing anything, just said that they sometimes were informants for them. Oy!
