I think SLW and I will get our 1st Smart Phone shortly. Only going to get what Verizon will give us free.

So, Looks like a LG Lucid 2 or an iPhone 4.

So that means the LG. The LG phone has a bigger screen and a Beginner Mode which would probably be a good thing for both of us.

And it looks like the iPhone 4 is only 3G, not 4G.

DW has the iPhone 4s. Likes it because it integrates with her other apple crap, but it is only 3G capable and it seems you have to recharge it every couple hours and have to play the game by apple's rules.
I have the Droid Razr Maxx HD and like it because I don't like apple crap and the battery lasts 24 hours + between charges. Got the Jellybean update a few months ago although don't really know (or care) what that got me.

People on the oil leases in harder to reach areas that own iPhone's have to borrow my HTC Android phone to call town because thy can't get a strong enough signal.
I have been told that Apple makes great little hand held computers but forgot it needed a functioning phone built in.
I have no doubt that the Apples will soon be at least as good on the telephone part but have they some catching up to do, they have had a lot of complaints and the trend part will eventually wear off.

I really don't know anything on Smartphones, haven't really needed one but at this point our current
phones are ancient so we will get 1 of the new ones and probably 1 of the cheapy throw away ones...

Smart phones are mostly used for texting, posting on facebook, tweeting, and such.. They also make great business tools; ie, if you are a Day Trader like me, you can use it to check your status on the run, and place positions at will. It makes it so much better with not having to be stuck at a desk all the time..

With the Galaxy, you can run Microsoft Office on it and such also ... It is a great tool ... I couldn't begin to name all you can do with it.

They are nice but so are the completely waterproof Sony's, if you do drool on them they won't get hurt.
