"North by Northwest" and "Bridge on the River Kwai" are two we can watch again and again.

Wow... Just wow. Why not? Just lack of exposure?

Probably one of the most quotable movies was a pre-80's film and one of my favorites....

And then there's this classic from 1970....

And this is another one of my faves from that era....great sound track.

And I would probably be force choked by the our very own Dark Mod of the Sith if I didn't mention this one....

That and I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to movies. When I see that grainy pre-1980 film type that they used my brain just instantly shuts off.

Though, Zathras did just pop up a couple that I am quite partial to. Monty Python and Star Wars are definite winners.
In most sports, cold-cocking an opposing player repeatedly in the face with a series of gigantic Slovakian uppercuts would get you a multi-game suspension without pay.

In hockey, it means you have to sit in the penalty box for five minutes.

Then I suppose black and white is COMPLETELY out of the question.

Yeah, probably for him. But War of The Worlds was terrific in black & white. And all of the film noir crime stuff just wouldn't be right in color.

Couldn't stand War of the Worlds. I read the book at a young age though, and first time I saw it and the Martians were flying around, flat out killed it for me. That may have been the one that killed novels turned to movies as well. I'm always highly critical of them.

Time really flies. SR had Craig Ferguson on the other night and was laughing at some old geezer. It turned out it was Eric Idle from Monty Python. He was still funny, but sure didn't age well. Monty Python was always one of my favorites.
