Would have voted for Bush in '88, but was TDY and didn't have an absentee ballot. However, the polling was so strong against Dukakis that I didn't sweat it.

Dole and McCain were unpleasant choices. I supported Forbes in the primaries against Dole, and Giuliani against McCain (Rudy was the only mayor of NYC to ever cut the budget, welfare rolls and taxes, and he governed more conservatively on social issues than most professed social conservatives, despite his statements to the contrary).

Not to mention that Rudy cut crime in NYC. That's no small task.

Just think the next vote will be between Lord Humungous and some wasteland drifter, assuming my worst fears.

Considering that is in Australia and he'll have his hands full with Mad Max, I think we'll be OK.
