I'm torn between a bellows or if that is a little crank handle then maybe an auger.

If thats not it, its a medieval ear wax gatherer.

Could be a power catheter or bladder inflater.
The difference between pigs and people is that when they tell you you're cured it isn't a good thing.

It's a device used to blow smoke up someones ass.

That's exactly what it is. Tobacco smoke was thought to be good you, and this kit was intended for blowing smoke up the patient's ass. A tobacco smoke enema gave rise to the phrase, "blowing smoke up one's ass".

I've seen pictures of those things before and knew what they were used it for.

A straw would have been cheaper.

I hear some folk use a paper towel tube these days.

It is a Tobacco Smoke Enema Kit Tobacco Smoke Enemas (1750s – 1810s) was very popular and used by many folks. The tobacco enema was used to infuse tobacco smoke into a patient’s rectum for various medical purposes, primarily the resuscitation of drowning victims.

A rectal tube inserted into the anus was connected to a fumigator and bellows that forced the smoke towards the rectum. The warmth of the smoke was thought to promote respiration, but doubts about the credibility of tobacco enemas led to the popular phrase “blow smoke up one’s ass.”

This has been reintroduced in Washington D.C., by the Obama Administration. It will be part of the New Health Care Program and will be free to all of his supporters. Everyone in his administration will have the special ones.....gold plated.

    Congrats Starbuck.

BTW, when I was a kid, enemas were still used to cure everything from simple infections to headaches. I kid you not!
