#1 Baseball Playoffs 2012

I'm suprised there isn't anything going on this yet.
Anyone suprised at the outcomes so far? I'm pleased with the Tigers performance. I'm hoping the Nationals tank the Cards tonight. In most sports, cold-cocking an opposing player repeatedly in the face with a series of gigantic Slovakian uppercuts would get you a multi-game suspension without pay.
In hockey, it means you have to sit in the penalty box for five minutes.

I'm thinking the O's might actually have karma on their side to beat my Yanks.
They were the Yanks nemesis in the 60s and 70s. Looks like they are trying for it again.Gun Control: The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her panty hose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound - Unknown

Giants pulled off a miracle series win vs the Reds. When they lost both games at home, game 2 especially, I thought they were done. Happily they proved me very wrong.

The Reds, who I had going all the way, are out. Ug.
Is there any way the Nationals and Cardinals could both lose today and somehow knock each other out of the playoffs? That would be ideal.
Let's go Baltimore because, really, who ever wants to see the Yankees win? And even though the Tigers won, I could have gone either way in that series.
I guess Baltimore or Detroit to win it all.Be Not Afraid.

I wish Baltimore had won in the American League. Sarasota is their spring training home, and they used to be the old St Louis Browns. My great uncles were fans way, way back.
Of course I'm thrilled that the Cards prevailed and are in the NLCS again. You have to give them credit for winning despite no LaRussa, Pujols, etc, with a new manager, I believe the youngest in MLB in his first year of management.
GO CARDS!! That feels so good to say again this year. I really miss them. Next May will be 3 years living here in Sarasota. I can't explain it, should be happy being in the self-proclaimed "paradise" here in Sarasota, but I've always been a fan of St Louis. It was so nice being there for 5 days, but melancholy leaving it again.
