Wow! He's defending a Constitution he knows nothing about.... how sad.

There is no 1ST Amendment protections involved here. There were no grievances to be redressed, or political agendas being aired. It was instead, a very small-minded twit "trying to be funny"...

You make it hard for me to not want to slap you sometimes.
In most sports, cold-cocking an opposing player repeatedly in the face with a series of gigantic Slovakian uppercuts would get you a multi-game suspension without pay.

In hockey, it means you have to sit in the penalty box for five minutes.

Do they have a "silence and respect" or similar sign there?

If it were a picture of an ez-bake oven at the holocaust memorial, would you be a bit offended? What about a noose at the MLK memorial?

And the last word on the subject:
I would say legally and constitutionally people have a right to be offensive... even really, really offensive. Even mind-blowingly full-retard offensive. What's sad is the individual in the picture didn't even really understand how offensive she was being.

BUT, just as people have a right to engage in offensive speech, everyone else has a right to call them out on it... boycott and write nasty letters to their employer, and so forth.

Why? Because I'm not jumping on the bandwagon to condemn this woman for joking around on a field trip? I doubt that she is the first to do so. So we should ask, "What has changed?" The thing that has changed is that this woman's photo album is now in a format where someone in desperate need of cause could blow it up and portray it as the worst thing anyone ever did. It simply, isn't. And if we're going to start demanding that everyone who does or says something stupid be fired from his job, then I'll assume that you are in a position to throw stones. Are you?

    .
This woman was goofing around. I doubt that anyone other than the cameraman saw her do this in person.
