Jeannie was the dumbest show ever - and yes, I remember "My Mother, the Car". But Dallas was great fun. Anyone besides me remember some of his mother's acting roles?
Of course, Mary Martin was the original on Broadway in South Pacific with Ezio Pinza, also the original on Broadway in the Sound of Music. I saw her years and years ago on stage in St Louis with the Broadway road show of "I Do, I Do". It was delightful. Mary Martin was one of the greatest. She probably was in her 60's then and played the role of a young bride up til old age. She was totally convincing as a young girl. She was a wonder.
