That would be Nevada, about 50 miles NW of Las Vegas.

That's beautiful country. I love that Red Rock Canyon near Vegas (think that's what it's called). I loved the hiking trails there.
You're in my favorite part of the US. Love Utah near Zion and Bryce Canyon and have been to a tiny lil Western town, Kanab, several times. They have greyhound reunion parties there for nuts like me who adopt those greys. People primarily came from Nevada, Utah and California, but there were diehards like me who travelled from Missouri and some who even came from the Boston area. That's one heck of a long drive from the East Coast to Kenab, Utah, especially driving over the continental divide with multiple greyhounds in the vehicle.
