A year after Katrina I was in New Orleans visiting my family. Armed military personnel were still needed and on-duty. One morning I witnessed a horrific traffic accident. Police, ambulances, EMT's and the FD worked the immediate scene. National Guard armed with M-16's worked the accident perimeter. So I guess it's not unprecedented.
Police are employed to deal with crime, not anarchy.Better to die on your feet than live on your knees.

Blackwater - via no-bid contracts - will be able to handle virtually any contingency, as they have many times in the US.

Blackwater, Army, Marines, NG, doesn't matter. Here's an open invitation: If they get up my way, we'll have fresh hot coffee for them. I figure the few DUmmies in this town will be the only ones having to worry. The poster formerly known as chuck58 on the old board.
