That's not what I was saying. I was saying cut off the money that the GOP depends on conservatives giving them. It's not as if conservatives and evangelicals are a small fraction of the GOP-you are at least a third of the party. Think about how the GOP leadership will miss those donations you guys give them-take away their money, and they will come begging to get you back.


I'm a liberal who votes for democrats, but I also appreciate living in a democracy, or, if exact descriptions are in order, a democratic republic. It's not a democracy if there is only one political party and/or only one political philosophy presented to the voters.

I also like you guys here, and don't like to see your own party screwing you over, considering many of you gave money to them in financially difficult times, when you could have easily used that same money for stuff you needed or bills you wanted to pay off.

More precisely, the US was founded on the principle of constitutional republicanism which is guaranteed by the constitution in Article IV, Section 4: The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened), against domestic Violence.

In your previous post you seemed to suggest that the republican party was run by a bunch of old fashioned white guys (translation: racist, misogynist, homophobes) and implied that we needed to enlarge the tent, i.e. water down the conservative message and out Santa Claus Santa Claus.

The Dems are destroying the repub party as well as the country. And Boehner is just sooo anxious to 'lead the charge' from 'our' side.

The word 'screwed' is now synonymous with the word 'Boehner'.

So all that's wrong with the republican party lies with the democrats! I thought individual responsibility was a tenet of the republican party? When you throw away your own tenets therein lies the ones responsible for your distruction. Stop blaming others for your own screwing...

Boehner exemplifies a new day that is forced on the rest of us to wit:

This is one of the reasons we like and respect you, I will say I don't often agree , but you have always been a reasonable person.
We have other liberals here who are obnoxious and I don't mind letting them reap what they sew in the least bit.
