    Not necessarily Islamophobic; many are xenophobic.

    It's not just liberals. You've probably seen that birthrates are at the lowest they've been since the 1920s - and immigrant populations are following the patterns of native born Americans.

    There's an irrational component to Islamaphobia-hatred of muslims for the sole reason of their religion, or believing that all muslims are responsible for the actions of those who do horrible things in the name of their religion. If someone hates all muslims to the point that they stop seeing them as human beings, that person is probably Islamaphobic.



    But it's not Islamaphobic to be skeptical of Islam's record over the past 30 years or more, or for the TSA to give a little more scrutiny to an airline passenger named Mustafa over one named Bob . Non-muslim women should be skeptical when dating a muslim man, especially a muslim man who was not born in this country and whose parents and siblings all live back in the old country.

    Islam is a loathsome religion, so I would expect any informed American to be an Islamophobe.
