No we've let ourselves be defined by the Democrats and the media...which is actually the propaganda arm of the left.

No the media doesn't show what Republicans/Conservatives stand for in reality...they show what they WANT people to think we stand for.

And then they count on useful idiots like you to repeat the lie.

Lecture you! Conservatives protray theyselves as being constant and happless victums of mainstream media. A lecture on growing a pair is exactly what you need. You are suppose to be the party of individual responsibility yet all you do is blame others and nothing is ever your fault. You are your own worst enemy who feature extremists and extreme positions that are rejected by the majority. Misrepresented! Bull, there was not a misrepesentation with Romney and his 47% remark, Akins, Ryan, Palin, Bachmann, etc., and there plethera of remarks. There was no need, when their own words, unedited, are sufficent. And here is the question to be begged: do you, conservatives, disagree with any of thier statements or postitions? I'll bet not, infact, I am willing to bet that many of them and their positions are not extreme enough for you and therein lies the reason you lost this, and in all likeliness, future elections.

You have become the party of the extreme who denegrate minorities and women then cry foul when the media plays your words back at you. As a liberal I hope you keep it up because it certainly makes winning elections easier...

Pointing our facts and simple hard truths is not whining.

The media is rife with examples of bias against anything and anyone that doesn't embrace the Leftist agenda.

Where would you like this lesson to begin? Cause you're bringing a knife to a gunfight kid.

Other than Ryan, mostly no. To many conservatives, the Ryan budget didn't balance the books fast enough. The recent "purge" of committees is focusing on such conservatives.

    Two things to consider:

    • Republican politicians and leadership are increasingly moving away from conservative principles. Which is not to say they are moving towards liberal principles. I think they are moving towards principles-of-convenience.
    • There is not a 1-dimensional spectrum where on one side there is "good" and the other side is "evil" and good/evil are synonymous with liberal/conservative and democrat/Republican (where good/evil are defined based on the orientation of the observer).

You are also conflating all the different kinds of conservatism. There's social conservatives, fiscal conservatives, neo-conservatives, paleo-conservatives, evangelicals, and most of the libertarian spectrum (except for anarcho-syndicalists and left/socialist libertarians) fits inside the conservative bucket. Anarcho-capitalists I think is the only "Anarchy" branch that can be considered conservative, but like the Anarcho-syndicalists they are technically libertarian.

So for example, Romney wasn't a "moderate conservative" nor was he "severe conservative." His positions (other than perhaps foreign policy) really aren't conservative at all even given all the different flavours. But nor are they liberal. The RNC leadership heavily pushed for his nomination before the primaries even started; and there are a lot of theories as to why.

So something to consider is that conservatism (in all it's forms) is a philosophy of personal responsibility and individualism. Where conservatives argue is about policy. So for example, something like "taxes" and "budget" is a policy question. While most politicians are not true to their principles, you can take two conservatives who are true to their principles and theoretically come up with different policy answers.

I see you completely ignored the part of that post that gave you very specific details about how the 0bama Press Corps has defined the Republican Party. I expected no less. Faced with facts you turn to your feelings. You're a good liberal.

He either turns to feelings or covers by asking you another question without answering yours, all style no substance.
The difference between pigs and people is that when they tell you you're cured it isn't a good thing.

Why did you waste so many posts and so much time before coming out and saying how you really feel? Even though it was pretty obvious to all of us where you were coming from. You thought you'd come over and gloat a little because the side you've invested your identity in won the election. You really don't care as much about them winning as you do that republicans were defeated. Like most newer liberals, you know more about what you are against, than what you believe in. And you definitely don't like republicans or conservatives because you actually believe crap like what you said in the quote, even thought it's utter non-sense. You think that they degrade minorities and women because Schultz and Matthews said so, or because someone scoured the airwaves and found some dufus somewhere who tripped up while speaking in public or held an extreme position on some issue or another. So then it's quite easy making the quantum jump to an assertion that all conservatives must share those same views, right?
I don't think you really know anything about conservatives or conservatism. I think you're just a cheerleader and politics is just a minor distraction for you. Like a television show where the audience makes up its mind in the first few minutes which contestant they want to make it to the end, or which one gets voted of the island next.
