Why isn't it the answer? You know that they have an agenda, and this is an opportunity to advance it. Remember that comment from Rahm Emmanuel about never letting a crisis go to waste? This is their moment for gun control, and they will seize it if they can. Don't pretend that they have any principles beyond amassing power and defeating their political adversaries.

Knee-jerk is synonymous with the du. Notice the weird sense of moral superiority they're all embracing, as if their stand against guns elevates them above those who own them? Their immature reasoning skills cause them to demand some kind of immediate action. Not a reasonable or thoughtful action - they'd prefer a symbolic one over one that actually has something to do with the problem.

We know they will never hold individuals or factors in society responsible for increasing acts of violence, because that might subject part of the progressive agenda as cause. So a scapegoat will do just fine. And they want to get one quick, so their sheep-like followers have some place to direct their fomented feelings of anger towards, and don't have time to actually think about the problem for themselves.

In 1930, their was chaos in the streets of Germany, fights between gangs Communists, Socialists and Anarchists. 50% unemployment, soup lines, money all but worthless.

People want law and order to return to Germany ... but they could not have law, at least let there be ... ORDER.

The Moonbats are now wanting the same thing ... and if they have destroy the Constitution and the Bill Of Right to get it, and throw people who disagree with into prison ... at this point they will.

I think a lot of them are over emotional and feel they need a group of people to blame. Some of them already hate conservatives and/or gun owners (and they're not the same), so they push for that.
