So...I am losing my food stamps next month...
After being unemployed for 4+ years, attending their classes to find a job and not finding one, they are pulling my food stamps unless I attend more classes. I would do that except I no longer have a vehicle and walking 11 miles to the office is too much for my lyme arthritis and no one wants to shuttle me back and forth. They have their own lives and own troubles. I am at my wit's end. Sorry...just needed to unload. Now that's a good one in a small package!!! Well done!!!!
May the FORCE be with you!

Before you can do things for people, you must be the kind of man who can get things done. But to get things done, you must love the doing, not the people!

Ahhhh, the suffering of a DUmbass makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Lyme arthritis? She must not have figured out a way to get SSI for that yet. Then she would be able to get her food stamps and not have to go to the classes, because she wouldn't be receiving state welfare. She'd be on the federal dole, then.
She probably already applied for SSI and got denied, though. Lyme arthritis? Please.

I agree, if she has a disability she should be able to find help and her public aid office would point her in the right direction.
Lyme arthritis is real. Not sure if this person has it. I know people that have had it and were crippled for periods of time, several years.
I would not wish this illness on anyone, including someone from DU.

Kudos, SR, for highlighting all the "They"'s and "Their"'s!
The poster has no idea who they are, just that they are responsible for her misery and they will do whatever it is they do to make her happy again. They will educate her, they will hold classes, they will provide a job, they will provide transportation, they will insure she is paid adequately, and on and on..
"They"!.......................could that be the new "We"?

Neighbor across the road lost his job less than a year after the era of Hussein began. He went through the motions of looking for a job "without success". After two years of his wife supporting the household, and when the unemployment bennies ran out, he magically found a permanent full-time JOB. Then they ran out and bought a THIRD car!
Four years of DUmmy getting an edukashun (at taxpayers expense) and THEY won't GIVE her a job........maybe she'll die of lyme disease, and spare us Obamacare medical expenses.
[excuse-me]
It's been a bad day.

Anyone that is unemployed for over a year (actually about 6 months but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt) is unemployed because they want to be.
There are almost always jobs available for those that would truly rather work than suck off someone else's money and bitch about how unfair the world is.
It may not be that 70,000 a year position that you think you are entitled to because you got a Masters degree in Sanskrit, but it's not living like a leech either
