This line, which I've heard here and elsewhere, is bullshit. I don't need to wear a uniform to know that willfully invading foreign nations that pose no threat to you and killing their people with bombs, bullets, and drones is wrong. And just to be clear I consider anyone who enlisted during the Iraq War to be guilty of willfully invading a country that poses no threat to your own. They knew there was a high likelihood of them being sent there. They are just as guilty as the congressman who voted for that war. I don't need to have worn a uniform to know that everyone who participated in, ordered, or covered up acts of torture is scum who need to be arrested.
I don't need to enlist to know any of that, in fact knowing that is a big reason why I will never serve in the military even if they institute a draft. I would rather be thrown in jail than kill people simply because someone orders me to.
He was a member here a while ago when I accidentally deleted his account. I've told him he can come back anytime but I'm sure he won't.
I was just thinking how well wolfy would get along with another old buddy, one of djones pals, mike_c and guess what???

8. They aren't at fault for what the government did, but they are responsible for their own actions.
They knowingly enlisted to serve in Iraq a country that posed no threat to the U.S. They are at least partially responsible for the Iraq War. After all, you can't fight a war without troops.

One's knowledge about life really does change once they're outside of college. You don't necessarily become conservative, but you realize there's life outside of the supposed wisdom of a college campus. It's easy to condemn people when you don't know them or never met them or if you've lived in a bubble.
And white wolf, if you ever get to that point, you're going to feel awful. If you don't get to that point, then that's even worse.

White wolf and mike_c...two assclowns who wouldn't hesitate to spit on a soldier. I don't think bugsy has ever gotten over the verbal ass kicking I gave him at LU.

The 21st century. The age of Smart phones and Stupid people.
It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

I always knew I was not cut out for military life. That's part of why I respect those who do serve, because I know someone has to do it.

This DUmmie is a tool. Nobody has ever said that civilians can't criticize the military. In fact, the Constitution demands that they not only criticize us, but that they oversee us. What we do find objectionable is when civilians who have no understanding of what we do or how we do it make ignorant criticisms without educating themselves on the issues. I once got into an argument with a leftie who believed that the Bradley Fighting Vehicle was a waste of money because it was an inferior tank, and nothing that I could say would convince him that it wasn't a tank, because his talking point depended on it being one. I was branched armor, had been on tanks and personnel carriers since I was enlisted and was as close to an expert as he was going to find, but he kept repeating the mantra that it was a tank because it had a big gun on a turret. That kind of ignorance is infuriating, and we see it constantly from people whose agenda demands that they not only not get smart on the subject under discussion, but that they willfully ignore presented facts in order to "win" arguments.

Before you can do things for people, you must be the kind of man who can get things done. But to get things done, you must love the doing, not the people!

We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other. In my many years I have come to a conclusion that one useless man is a shame, two is a law firm, and three or more is a congress.
