In Michigan, its an automated telephone service. It asks if you have looked for work. 1 for yes, 9 for no. People lie.

It was discussed in another thread how the longer people are unemployed, the less likely they are to be hired. How can you say they're loafers?
Quite easily as I have 1 brother that has been collecting for a couple years now. Know many others doing the same thing.

Also, who wants to raise their families off of unemployment checks? That's only about half of what one used to make.
With unemployment, food stamps, medicaid and the rest of the social sofa programs too many people are doing better living off the taxpayers than actively being one.
