Thanks for the tip. Grabbing this one now. Just watched the new movie entitled Hitchcock, with Anthony Hopkins. Good one. Much better than I thought it would be.

I hope you like B movies, it's a hobby of ours to try to find the stupidest ones and laugh at them, this one was comical for sure. I wouldn't have missed it!

I dont know if it still is, but Reservoir Dogs was considered a "B" when it came out. Low budget and all. It still sounded good to me and we got it. Only later on, did it seem to "catch on", as it were. Im always on the watch for good "B" rateds.

I'm sure they point out that it is the fault of the SUV drivers?
It's not how old you are, it's how you got here.
It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.

We had global warming and big oil, part of the fun because it makes a joke of that too , unintentionally on their part for sure.

There is a 'B' category. Is there a 'C'? If so, I have a nominee.

I know of someone who considered this to be the worst movie they'd ever seen. I asked them if they understood what it was supposed to be and they said no and that the movie was awful, the plot was awful, the acting, etc. I then clued them in that it was a parody of B horror movies. Speaking of movie parodies, here is a classic:

I try to catch this every time it's on TV. The Blacks Without Soul segment is hilarious(with David Allen Grier) and the Bullshit or Not segment.

    Speaking of misunderstood movies:
"Oh, Brother, Where Art Thou?", is a big hit among the people I know here in the South. We recognize that it is a parody of life in the South set against a backdrop of Homer's "Odyssey". Cyclops; Sirens; Guy named Ulysses trying to get back to a wife named Penny (Penelope); everything.
But people in the North generally don't get it. Not funny to them.

"Fargo" is lost on most people I know who have never known people from Minnesota/North Dakota. And I have heard people from Minnesota get indignant, saying, "That's not the way we talk at all!" But it is! The dialogue in the movie between two characters wearing parkas and snorkel hoods goes something like this:
    "Not too cold today."
"No, no, not too cold. Was cold yesterday."
"Yeah. Yesterday was cold. An' I unnerstand it's gonna be cold next week."
"Yeah. Next week's gonna be cold. And it was cold last year."
"Yeah. Last year was cold. But it's not too cold today."
    "No, not too cold."

But, like I said, most people in the South have no idea what Fargo is about.
I guess it helps being a Southerner and listening to people make fun of you all your life; after a while you see the humor.

IMDB has a comprehensive review http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0076993/, and it is Michener's.

Each DVD disc has two 1 hour episodes - that's a total of about 26 or so hours of a very excellent western historical drama. Pop a lot of popcorn, and settle in for many cold winter nghts in front of the small screen.
