We could not afford to lose, now my fight is to stop him in his tracks and create every obstruction possible to prevent him from making this a communist /socialist country. My goals have not changed, I have no desire to sleep with the winner.

However you never going to stop him in his tracks when all your actions play in to his narrative that republicans want to starve the old and poor and who are only for the rich and are willing to destory the country, but go right ahead and play is silly game and give the bastard exactly what he wants.

THIS is the this administrations "narrative" regardless of what the GOP "gives" him. And the media will faithfully echo it.

You start by proposing and pushing through a sane budget, it is illegal to operate without budget. we have to do it step by step. we arn't taking steps at this point, we are holding our ankles.
You follow the law.
You do not build a house with plans of building the foundation later.

If it takes three more months to get a budget from the Senate, I'll wait. If they don't offer substantial spending cuts then implement sequestration.

And our goal right now should be getting the Senate back in 2014.

We have now what were previously sane people in this party ready to fold like a cheap suit and that goes from the lowliest party member to the members of the house, unless their is a drastic change in attitudes between now and 2014 I don't think our base will have enough enthusiasm to show up and vote, we may not even keep the house.
I have never seen the party this cowardly, not even after Nixon's impeachment.
We need to walk everyone through some sort of slapping machine to try and bring them back to reality.

These guys just came back from retreat, a little vacation. They just came back after kicking the can down the road ... yet again. They just got back from retreat... and they're still retreating!

We (conservatives) are the majority in this nation. Only 59 million voted for the miscreant out of what? 311 million people? And thats a majority? Unfortunately we are not represented. I wonder if we shouldnt consider giving our brave GOP leadership something befitting their character. Perhaps a change of clothing. Maybe some pink striped suits with matching pink bunny slippers?

The Tea Party people always say the "establishment" Republicans are RINOs, unworthy of support. Perhaps they should go ahead and formally create a third party. If conservatives are the majority, as you say, it should be a sweep for them once they have someone they can really support.
