Patty was the last of the Andrews Sisters.

    (snip)

They were patriotic, clean, beautiful, God-fearing and amazingly talented.

They were from a different time. When Hollywood loved the country and the military, when socialism was scorned, when God was in schools and condoms were at drug stores.

    That's for sure! RIP Patty.

I remember my mom listening to them in the late 40s. Especially "The Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy." I even remember some of the words.

94 is a good, long life. RIP.

I was a kid in the 70s, but The Andrews Sisters were even then an act that girls would imitate when playing dress-up at grandma's house.

That's because Bette Midler had made them famous again.

I've loved them since I was a kid. They did a cameo in some movie that I liked.

I just found thIs. I absolutely love the Andrew Sisters. Rest in peace, sweet lady.
When the delegates emerged from the Constitutional Convention in 1787, a Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin, “Well, Doctor, what have we got?” Franklin replied, “A republic, madam, if you can keep it.”
