#1 Patty Andrews of the Andrews Sisters dies at 94...02-01-2013, 10:48 AM
Patty was the last of the Andrews Sisters.
They were patriotic, clean, beautiful, God-fearing and amazingly talented.
They were from a different time. When Hollywood loved the country and the military, when socialism was scorned, when God was in schools and condoms were at drug stores.
Four boxes keep us free: the soap box, the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box.

I remember my mom listening to them in the late 40s. Especially "The Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy." I even remember some of the words.

94 is a good, long life. RIP.
I was a kid in the 70s, but The Andrews Sisters were even then an act that girls would imitate when playing dress-up at grandma's house.

I've loved them since I was a kid. They did a cameo in some movie that I liked.

I just found thIs. I absolutely love the Andrew Sisters. Rest in peace, sweet lady."Our president delivered his State of the Union message to Congress. That is one of the things his contract calls for -- to tell congress the condition of the country. This message, as I say, is to Congress. The rest of the people know the condition of the country, for they live in it, but Congress has no idea what is going on in America, so the president has to tell 'em." ~ Will Rogers
