#1 The Puppy Bowl: As Usual, They Take Something Cool And Ruin It02-03-2013, 05:18 PM
Several years ago, Animal Planet started the Puppy Bowl. Every Super Bowl Sunday they would trot out puppies, put them in a play area that looks like a stadium, put dog toys in, and let the dogs be dogs. It use to be great. Now, they've completely ruined it. First, they put a guy in as a referee. Then they added useless play by play. And now, they're adding commentary by idiots like gang bangers from Pitbulls and Parolees, weirdo's from Finding Bigfoot, and other Animal Planet shows no one watches. Not to mention that they now have hedgehog cheerleaders, guinea pigs in a "blimp", and a cockatiel sideline reporter. I hate it when they take something good and entertaining and ruin it. Now it's unwatchable. The Obama Administration: Deny. Deflect. Blame.

I agree. Last year was the first time I realized it was really different and awful from years past.Gun Control: The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her panty hose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound - Unknown

The cuteness of the puppies makes up for that. It is fun to watch them.

I agree that it was better in years past.
I also know that the Puppy Bowl audience is mostly kids, because it's on on the other tv in the house while the Super Bowl plays on the main tv. They probably think that the kids like it with all the other crap added on.

I only watch for the half time show and the commercials.“Progress is Providence without God. That is, it is a theory that everything has always
perpetually gone right by accident. It is a sort of atheistic optimism, based on an
everlasting coincidence far more miraculous than a miracle.”
