As I've previously stated about disregarding social issues:
All that would do is let the Dems define the social issues. Look beyond your hatred of religion and see why that would be a disaster.
Stay out of the bedroom? Fine. No more gay pride parades, free condoms at schools, don't bother me about paying for your pill or Plan B, defund Planned Parenthood immediately and return the legality of abortion to the states....for starters.Be Not Afraid.

Rand Paul is too much like his father, who failed repeatedly to learn from his mistakes. Ron Paul is and was a fringe kook, yes he had some good ideas, but his affiliations with the lunatic fringe and his general adherence to doctrines that were decades old didnt help him. Rand Paul is too involved with Alex Jones, and that connection on its own is enough to give anyone pause.
No serious contender for the Presidency can allow themselves to be seen or be involved in someone who advocates that "9/11 was "an inside job". I am aware that as a conservative, he has a lot going for him. Problem is that as long as he is involved or connected to people like this, his credibility is in question. His father accepted donations from StormFront, was photographed with the founder of StormFront and whilst I accept and agree he does not suibscribe to their beliefs...it was a bonehead move, and that he has not rescinded or returned those donations, is a fait accompli that StormFront can claim he is 'their candidate".
A candidate, even by derivation, "endorsed" by these people calls his judgement into question. He needs to denounce and disown them.

In the end the people must choose and the people must help themselves" ~ JFK; from his famous inauguration speech (What Democrats sounded like before today's neo-Liberals hijacked that party)
