What do you think of this?

I went on a tour of my former high school as part of my 30th class reunion celebration. Not only was I amazed at the size and growth, but at the level of security. There's no smoking in the bathrooms anymore. There are cameras everywhere. The kids and staff all are required to wear their identification cards on lanyards (I don't really have a problem with that). This is a suburban Grand Rapids high school, and it is also now one of the largest high schools in Michigan, if not the largest.
I've been going into DPS high schools for 25 years, with their metal detectors and all, but this somehow seemed a lot more secure than a couple of minimum-wage security guards running a metal detector.
I, for one, am most happy with our government's new surveillance capabilities, and wish to retract anything that I may have said which might be construed as less than double-plus good about our president and his administration.
I wait with bated breath for my new telescreen to be installed.
No waiting needed for owners of these. (From a March 2012 article.)
Read more here: http://hdguru.com/is-your-new-hdtv-watching-you/7643/Samsung’s 2012 top-of-the-line plasmas and LED HDTVs offer new features never before available within a television including a built-in, internally wired HD camera, twin microphones, face tracking and speech recognition.
While Web cameras and Internet connectivity are not new to HDTVs, their complete integration is, and it’s the always connected camera and microphones, combined with the option of third-party apps (not to mention Samsung’s own software) gives us cause for concern regarding the privacy of TV buyers and their friends and families.

The camera and microphones are built into the top if the screen bezel in the 2012 8000-series plasmas and are permanently attached to the top of the 7500- and 8000ES-series LED TVs.
A Samsung representative showed how, once set up and connected to the Internet, these models will automatically talk to the Samsung cloud and enable viewers to use new and exciting apps.

Stop the world, I want to get off! ... I'm ready, but which pill to take?
