Speaking as a big time, die hard, Phillies fan, no way in hell they even sniff the playoffs. Phillies did nothing to improve the team. The bullpen still has more questions than the Jeopardy Tournament of Champions. Utley & Howard's health is a huge question mark and with Ruiz missing the first 25 games, it's going to be a long season. The best teams as it stands right now are the Nationals and Angels. The Angels are scary offensively. Pujols, Trumbo, Hamilton, and local boy Trout provide some pop in the top half of the lineup. The Nationals boast probably the league's best pitching staff and a young, hungry team. Every other team is a distant 2nd to the Nats and Angels.

I'm hoping the Tigers will win the World Series this year, after getting blown out last year. They just re-signed Verlander to a huge contract, with enough money to re-fund the city of Detroit's employee pension fund. Well, almost enough.
