Recheck me; I took a guess on a couple more
Now, how could #3 be wrong? You asked a question, I gave an answer that fit...............I mean, just because I didn't give the answer YOU wanted....
And #7: Does not good fortune turn everything around? Even more so than bad luck.
#14: OK. I didn't know what the poet was talking about. In fact, I had never even heard of him. It was a guess.
Fantastic brain puzzlers Pat45.
I love these questions where you have to think, not just remember facts you have learned in the past.
However, since we don't always read at the same time in here, nor do we have time to respond without seeing answers ahead of time ...
What would you think of us PMing our answers to you, you hanging on to them, and let us know the results 1 week later?
Would be a real pain in the derriere for you, I realize, but at least that would *definitely* keep everyone honest and unable to piggyback on someone else's answers.
We could still comment in this thread in the meantime without giving "spoilers."
Please! Please! Don't shoot! Panic! Panic!Simply a suggestion, pumpkin!

Just have fun with it! I like the goofy off the wall guesses too.Only a few of the guesses were right so have at it!
Will do tomorrow when my cleaning service comes. (Cannot leave the house as the girl is nervous of putting my security system back on when she leaves).
So ... will look forward to it, and not check in again, til I am finished going through all 14 of them. Oh Mercy!
Til then, I have a question for those reading ...
We do have a MENSA member in here who could whip all of our behinds.
Do you remember who it is? I do.

That's OK because I'm twice as good looking.
I'm calling shenanigans on the cowhide and cows thing. I say there are more dead cows (combined all time) then there are alive today that are now belts and handbags and automobile interiors.
Besides, I wanted to post this:
Moo.
Okay, here goes ... then must get off this machine!

(2) spoiled, but can relate to it. My half-sister is the same age as my son. Which makes her my son's "aunt." These things do happen in families.

(4) spoiled, but liked the use of Roman Numerals needed in order to answer.
(5) Haven't the foggiest notion!
(6) spoiled.
(7) Answer: Luck ~ both good and bad.
(8) Answer: For the cow itself. (even if, forget who it was ... disagreed!)
(9) spoiled
10. Answer: A larva form of some insect.
11. Answer: a snake
12. Hmmm ... all contain one vowel and one consonant? Nah! Can't be right. I give up!
