I just got back and saw a story running wild about Harrison Ford playing Han Solo in the new “Star Wars” revival. No one seems sure about it. I was told some time ago that Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill would be reprising their roles in Episode &, Obviously this new movie won’t pick up where “Return of the Jedi” ended. It’s some time in the future. Han, Princess Leia (with a presumably better hairstyle), and Luke Skywalker will be a lot older. Their children will be the new main characters. RsD2 and C-3PO will be unchanged, I would guess. since they are not human. But suffice to say, the three main actors are definitely coming back. The bigger question is, which young actors will play their kids? Luckily Hayden Christensen is long since passed from this scenario. And you know, Carrie Fisher will be the funniest wisecracking princess in the Galaxy– holding a martini glass. Don’t forget, all three of the actors are still profit participants in “Star Wars.”
I think its safe to say they are going with Jacen Solo AKA Darth Caedus.

The son of Han Solo and Leia Organa Solo and the nephew of Luke Skywalker, he is a major character in several Star Wars novels, particularly the Legacy of the Force series. He replaced Lumiya as the main antagonist of the series, up until his death at the end of Invincible. He is the brother of Anakin Solo and Jaina Solo, grandson of Anakin Skywalker, and cousin of Ben Skywalker. Jacen later became known as Darth Caedus.

I dunno. Carrie Fisher hasn't aged too well. Look at the progression:

    Empire Strikes Back:

    Return of the Jedi:

    And now...

    Ugh.

    Ugh.
I have to agree about Fisher. Too many years of drinking, and all sorts of drugs.

You can do a lot with a strict weight loss reg and loose clothing make-up and a wig. But I don't think even that will be enough.

Mark Hamill hasn't aged so well, either, nor has Billy D. Williams. Most people, including women, get old. Carrie Fisher is hilarious, though, as her special for HBO a couple of years ago proved.

Harrison Ford is a different matter. He still looks good.

Originally, there were supposed to be nine movies. The plan was to start with the middle three, then the first three, and finish with the last three. Why? Who the hell knows.

The technology advanced too fast, and "episodes" one through three were so much CGI that they were already out of sync with four through six (the original three) that it became too awkward.

I have four through six, and after I bought one and two, I decided that enough was enough. The storyline had continuity, but not the portrayal of the characters or the screen. I rented number three, and was so disappointed that I called it quits. "Star Wars" had been milked enough.

They're trying to squeeze another golden egg out of the goose.

Reprising the Droids has been the standard. But Anthony Daniels will not live forever.
